New Moon In Pisces

Before we dive into the March New Moon in Pisces,

Please raise your hand if you feel personally victimized by the last lunar cycle's Virgo Full Moon.

Us too.

But besties, we made it! We struggled through those big feelings, rid ourselves of what was weighting us down, and now we're moving onward to pursue our new goals!

The March New Moon rises in Pisces on Sunday, March 10.

At this time, the Sun also sits in Pisces. Pisces squared. Sorry, loves, but this will yet again prove itself to be an overly emotional time period. Pisces, known as the Sensitive sign, doubles down (actually triples down, but more on that later) with all those huge feelings, regardless of whether they're good or bad. That being said, you may want to make sure you add a box of tissues to your shopping list this week- you'll likely find yourself getting a bit over emotional (again). Ah Pisces, you sappy so and so. We love you, but why must you make us ugly cry?

The good news is that the New Moon in Pisces will be forming an applying conjunction with Neptune, the planet of art, dreams, confusion and collective consciousness. When a planet forms an applying conjunction with another planetary/astral/lunar body, it means that the traits of both celestial bodies will be amplified and play off of one another.

So, in our case, emotional and empathetic Pisces vibes with artistic and socially aware Neptune, making us aware of injustices and social issues as well as the beauty of humanity. Using art therapy or volunteering in your community may assist with the frantic urge to help that is often spawned when these two celestial bodies dance together.

The start of a New Moon is a fresh start for great habits, and the March New Moon is all set for our success. The New Moon sits sextile with Uranus, who is hunkered down in Taurus. Sextile means that the two celestial bodies are roughly 60 degrees apart from one another in the night sky. When two bodies are sextile, there becomes an ease between them, almost like they enable one another to be their best selves. They become real bros, as it were.

In other words, having a planet of "challenging the norms" dwelling within a constellation known for its stubbornness and complacency (lookin' at you, Taurus) while sitting sextile to the New Moon means we're shaking things up and it's easy for us! In fact, we're welcoming the changes. Spring cleaning anyone? If you've been feeling stuck, you'll finally be moving through situations that have been holding you back. Muddling through the emotional muck is hard, but Uranus will help keep us from sinking into the metaphorical quicksand. Things are looking up!

With all these emotions bouncing around and the planet of vagueness lurking (hello Neptune), you may find yourself trying to read into every situation, conversation and interaction. Don't. It’s a trap. Things will not be clear, and you are very, we cannot stress this enough, VERY likely to misconstrue things due to the Sun, Moon and Neptune all being in Pisces. No one hates you. No one is talking about you. Go get a snack, grab a juice box, and take a nap or go for a walk. Hyper-focusing on the actions of others is just a time-suck and an energy waster. You'll thank us later.

Now is the time to dream, to believe, and to make it happen. Just make sure you blow your nose first, and remember that cold compresses do wonders for puffy eyes from crying. Just sayin'.

Get going, babes.
