Full Moon in Scorpio
April's Full Pink Moon rises to her peak tonight in Scorpio at 7:49p EST.
Known as the Full Pink Moon due to the pink Dogwood flowers that are in the midst of their bloom all over North America this time of year, April's full moon has a slightly misleading name. Alas and alack, the moon will not be color coordinating with the flowers (or Three Roses Tarot)(as of yet- negotiations pending), and will still be shining her beautiful white light down on the earth. While we might be missing out on seeing the night with rose colored glasses, even the sickest of shades won't lessen the impact of this Scorpio Full Moon.
Get ready, because much like the sign the Moon finds herself rising in tonight, things are going to get intense for the next few days.
Oh, and did we mention Mercury is still in Retrograde? With Scorpio's ruling planet, Pluto, situated squarely across from the Moon in Aquarius, we can expect to have some forgotten emotions come welling up to the surface. Pluto, the planet of sex, death, and transformation may lead to analyzing previous major life decisions, and wondering how things may have gone differently or if they can still change.
The Moon, Pluto, Aquarius and Scorpio find themselves in a menage-a-quatre ripe with possibilities and anxieties, and they will continue to bring out the best and worst aspects of one another for the next three or so days. All that introspection may push you to action but wait! It's a trap!
With Mercury still being Retrograde, and we cannot stress this enough, now is not the time to be making any big changes, choices, signing contracts, breaking contracts or anything of that ilk.
Mercury will become direct on April 25, so if during this Full Pink Moon you feel the urge to blow your whole life up by making huge decisions or ending relationships, wait until after April 25th- there will at least be a slightly larger chance that things will work out better for you once Mercury has gone direct again and people are able to communicate more clearly.
A Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in Taurus that occurred on April 20 is still lingering, and that means double the reflective spiraling when paired with our current Full Pink Scorpio Moon. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and progress, paired with Uranus, the planet of revolution and rebellion, really drive home the urge to reassess our lives and where we're going with them, and bucking the system and trends. This conjunction only happens roughly every 14 years, so use it wisely.
Scorpio, in all his intense and mysterious allure may feel like the spark you've been waiting for to set your life on fire, but in this case that spark will burn out quite quickly. Just remember that a flash of sparks in a pan burns brightly and swiftly, while a well-seasoned log burns warmly for hours.
